The Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Neurology at Sai Group of Institutions, Dehradun is a two-year postgraduate program designed for physiotherapy graduates who want to specialize in neurological and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
This program focuses on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of disorders affecting the nervous system — including stroke, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. Students receive hands-on clinical exposure in top hospitals and rehabilitation centers, ensuring both theoretical understanding and practical expertise.
The course aims to prepare competent Neuro Physiotherapists who can deliver evidence-based care and contribute to neurological research, education, and advanced rehabilitation techniques.
A neurologist is a physician specializing in neurology and trained to investigate, or diagnose and treat neurological disorders. Neurologists may also be involved in clinical research, clinical trials, and basic or translational research. While neurology is a non-surgical specialty, its corresponding surgical specialty is neurosurgery.
Many neurologists also have additional training or interest in one area of neurology, such as stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, pain management, or movement disorders.
